The state of North Carolina provided Thomas S. Hicks with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from Wake Forest University Law School.
The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar has charged Tommy with engaging in the following misconduct.

Failed to obtain signed consent from client or others re: membership in entity

Failed to maintain and hold entrusted funds

Failed to promptly deposit fiduciary funds into fiduciary account

Intentionally commingled client funds with personal funds

Committed criminal act reflecting on his honesty and fitness to practice

Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

Failed to disburse funds pursuant to client directives

Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Tommy!)

Failed to adequately communicate with clients

Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

Failed to provide client with accounting of trust account funds
All that’s left now is to see what if any punishment the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the North Carolina Supreme Court mete out to Tommy.
