Attorney Theodore Hoglan of Marshalltown, IA; repeat offender

 

The state of Iowa presented Theodore Ryan Hoglan with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Drake University Law School.

 

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Teddy guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Teddy’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Neglected client’s appellate matter
  • Disregarded default notice from Iowa Supreme Court
  • Negligence led to client’s appeal being dismissed
  • Ignored warning from Workers’ Compensation Bureau re: client appeal
  • Failed to withdraw representation when withdrawal required

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Teddy by gifting him with a second complimentary reprimand.

 

Teddy’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to withdraw representation when withdrawal required
  • Failed to expedite client litigation

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Teddy by gifting him with a second complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. November 2015), Teddy practices with the Condon & Hoglan Law Firm at 2648 Reed Avenue in Marshalltown, Iowa.
