Attorney Thomas Ochs of Cedar Rapids; ethical leprechaun

The state of Iowa presented Thomas f. Ochs with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from Drake University Law School.

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Repeatedly missed deadlines for performing client services
  • Failed to expedite client litigation
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up Yours, said Tommy!)
  • Engaged in multiple instances of neglect

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2015), Tommy practices with Gray, Stefani & Mitvalsky PLC at 200 American Building in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
