Attorney E. Gilmore Maxwell of McDonough, GA; repeat offender

The state of Georgia presented E. Gilmore Maxwell with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from the University of Georgia Law School.

The Georgia State Bar found Maxwell guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Improper contact with represented parties
  • Improperly edited transcript provided to opposing counsel
  • Sanctioned by federal court for editing transcript
  • Ordered by federal court to pay opposing counsel’s fees and costs

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Maxwell’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary admonition for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Georgia Supreme Court punished Maxwell by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2015), Maxwell practices with E. Gilmore Maxwell PC at 308 Chanda Drive in McDonough, Georgia.
