Today’s “Moron” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Jason. In the past, he has been the recipient of four (4) Awards in various categories. Those awards are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

In January 2015, Speaker of the House John “The Bone” Boehner had the chutzpah to appoint Rep. Jason Chaffetz as chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

To further prove that he continues to advocate for wasting millions and millions of taxpayer dollars on worthless exercises, Jason recently (late October 2015) has taken affirmative steps to impeach the head of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) who he laughingly claims has violated the public trust in regards to the treatment of conservative groups.

Chaffetz is among a large group of right-wing screwballs that actually believes that so-called conservative groups that are almost exclusively involved in politics have a lawful right to be granted tax exempt status. Put simply, he believes that everyone else, including Democrats, independents and moderate Republicans should bear the tax burden to allow these right-wing groups to operate as political operations.

This worthless investigation of the IRS has been ongoing now for two years with no end in sight. It has likely cost the taxpayers well in excess of $5 million.

Not satisfied with this monumental waste of taxpayer funds, Jason has now called for the impeachment of the IRS Commissioner. Eighteen (18) fellow Republican screwballs on the committee co-sponsored Jason’s asinine impeachment resolution.

In a lame effort at levity, Screwy Jason then had the chutzpah to claim that impeachment was an appropriate took to restore public confidence in the IRS. He went on to laughingly say that it would send a clear signal that the IRS is under repair.

The only signal this will send is to the right-wing fanatics that defraud the IRS on a daily basis by falsely claiming that they are not primarily involved in political activity when it is patently clear that they are.

Congrats Jason; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Morons”; you are far too humble.
