Sen. Marco Rubio Today’s “IHOP (Flip-Flop)” Award Winner
This isn’t the first Award presented to Marco. In the past, he has been the recipient of five (5) Awards in various categories and/or the subject of one (1) lament piece. Those awards and lament piece are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.
In early 2015, Marco joined in with fellow Florida Senator Bill Nelson to ask President Obama to nominate Florida State District Judge Mary Flores for a seat on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
After supporting Judge Flores, Marco did a total flip-flop when he refused to submit his so-called blue slip to allow the nomination to proceed through the Senate Judiciary Committee. Senator Nelson had already submitted his blue slip to allow the nomination to proceed.
It’s obvious that the only reason that Marco performed his flip-flop routine was in order to appease a portion of his intellectually infirm supporters. Of course this is the same thing he did in regards to immigration reform that he co-sponsored in the Senate and then backed away from in order to gain support from the bigots he needs to win the GOP nomination.
One thing we can be assured of is that if the GOP base came out overwhelmingly in favor of gay marriage and Planned Parenthood, Marco would immediately renounce his prior disapproving positions.
Congrats Marco; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Flip-Floppers”; you are far too humble.
