Gay marriage is still illegal: so sayeth Law Professor Pat Robertson

During a recent (late October 2015) airing of “The 700 Club” comedy hour, Patty decided to once again prove his bona fides as a dyed-in-the-wool bigot and homophobe.

During his comedy routine, Patty advised a viewer to respond to gay marriage supporters by making the case that the Supreme Court’s marriage equality ruling is only an opinion that only impacts upon the couple that were the plaintiffs in the case.

Patty went on to tell his intellectually deprived viewers that the court’s ruling would impact others if Congress or state legislatures pass marriage equality legislation. Of course this claim is pure unadulterated BS. Patty went on to say:

• “In the legal system, party A sues party B over marriage, ‘I want to get married to them,’ and the court says, ‘Okay, you can get married.’” 
• “Congress didn’t pass any law. Your state legislature didn’t pass a law.”
• “So you’re not under anything, it’s a decision of the court having to do with a couple of people.”
• “Now they would like to make it bigger than that but, in terms of the Constitution, it isn’t.”

So now we have Law Professor Patty Robertson advising his viewers on constitutional law. The problem with Patty’s alleged knowledge of the law is the fact that after graduating from Yale Law School he was intellectually incapable of passing the bar exam.

We all know now that Patty’s knowledge of the law is totally worthless; however, his ability to tell lies and/or fabricate falsehoods is quite good.
