Dr. Ben Carson: Today’s “Lunatic” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Dr. Ben Carson

Today’s “Lunatic” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Benny. In the past, she has been the recipient of fifteen (15) Awards in various categories. Those awards are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

During a recent (late October 2015) appearance on “Meet the Press,” Benny went about tossing some red meat to the voters in Iowa in regards to his alleged anti-abortion stance.

Benny went on to comment that he opposed exceptions for abortion for rape or incest. He then said:

  • “Think about this. During slavery -- and I know that's one of those words you're not supposed to say, but I'm saying it -- during slavery, a lot of the slave owners thought that they had the right to do whatever they wanted to that slave.”
  • “And, you know, what if the abolitionist had said, you know, 'I don't believe in slavery. I think it's wrong. But you guys do whatever you want to do'?  Where would we be?”

What in the hell does slavery have to do with a woman’s right to choose?

Benny then engaged in the following Q&A with Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd.

CHUCK:  “Do you want to see Roe v. Wade overturned?”

BENNY:  “Ultimately, I would love to see it overturned.”

CHUCK:  And that means all abortions illegal?  Or is there still an exception that you would have?”

BENNY:  “I’m a reasonable person. And if people can come up with a reasonable explanation of why they would like to kill a baby, I’ll listen.”

CHUCK:  “Rape and Incest?”

BENNY:  “I would not be in favor of killing a baby because the baby came about in that way. And all you have to do is go and look up the many stories of people who have led very useful lives who were the result of rape or incest.”

Of course Benny the Loon fails to the viewers that he previously referred women to doctors who performed abortions and was a trustee of a foundation that gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to Planned Parenthood. (Sam Stein, Huffington Post)

I find it absolutely amazing that Benny and/or any of his fellow loons actually believe they have a lawful right to force a victim of rape or incest to bear the child.

One can safely assume that Benny didn’t much give a damn about a woman’s right to choose until he tossed his hat into the GOP presidential race. However, he is now willing to say anything to gin up support for his losing presidential campaign.

Congrats Benny; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Lunatics”; you are far too humble.
