Attorney P. Jeffrey Schlesinger of Merrillville, IN; Dumbo

The state of Massachusetts presented P. Jeffrey Schlesinger with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from Valparaiso University Law School.

In early 2015, the Indiana Court of Appeals raked Jeff over the coals for his habit of using an outdated legal argument while attempting to obtain reduced prison sentences for his clients while employed as a public defender.

The appellate court then entered ordered Lake Superior Court judge Clarence Murray to appoint “competent counsel” for Jeff’s client Matthew Marcus II.

As a consequence of his ongoing incompetence, the court of appeals punished Jeff by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. October 2015) Jeff practices at 8396 Mississippi Street in Merrillville, Indiana.
