The state of Washington presented Sans Michael Gilmore with a law license in 1992.

The Washington State Bar found Sans guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to explain matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
• Failed to deposit and hold trust accounts properly
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Failed to maintain current trust account records

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington Supreme Court punished Sans by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
