Attorney David Sterkin of Placerville, CA; convicted felon

The state of California provided David Sterkin with a law license in 2004 after he graduated from Golden State University Law School.

The California State Bar Court found Dave guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter,Dave pled no contest to obstructing a peace officer in performance of their duties, a felony, and criminal threats, a misdemeanor.

A police officer saw Daveyelling obscenities at people and shattering wine bottles in the middle of the street. Dave asked to be transported for mental health treatment, but struck an officer and resisted being placed in handcuffs. Subsequently, Dave threatened a neighbor, stating:

• “I am going to slit your throat with a buck knife and watch your guts fall on the floor.”

As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Court punished Ruben by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2015) Dave practices in Placerville, California, which is in the Sacramento area.
