Attorney Ovide Val of North Miami Beach; moronic repeater

The state of Florida provided Ovide Val with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from Howard University Law School.

The Florida State Bar found Ovide guilty of the following misconduct.

Ovide’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to provide promised services to client
• Accepted client retainer but failed to refund after providing no services

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme punished Ovide by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

Ovide’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Failed to promptly comply with client requests for information
• Collected an excessive fee (crook)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme punished Ovide by gifting him with a complimentary 10-day suspension of his law license.

Ovide’s 3^rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Charged with driving on suspended license, third degree felony
• Engaged in a criminal act
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme punished Ovide by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.
