Attorney William Watson of Madison, WI; druggie

The state of Wisconsin presented William J. Watson with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from Marquette University Law School.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation found Billy guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was employed as Jefferson County Assistant District Attorney.

In one matter, Billy found it acceptable to be in possession of and to use cocaine in a judge’s chambers while the judge was absent.

Billy also used cocaine and marijuana on others occasions. He also ordered his secretary to falsify a driver’s license receipt for a friend whose license had been suspended.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2015), Billy practices with the Watson Law Office at 139 West Wilson Street in Madison, Wisconsin.
