Attorney Allen Brey of Marinette, WI; congenital liar

The state of Wisconsin presented Allen R. Brey with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from Hamline University Law School.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation found Allen guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Improperly met with criminal defendant at the jail despite his knowledge that the defendant was represented by counsel
  • Commented on defense counsel’s representation to criminal defendant in jail
  • Denied that he met with criminal defendant
  • Lied in at least three letters to ethics investigators in falsely deny9ng that he had met with a represented criminal defendant in jail
  • Knowingly abused his authority as a prosecutor
  • Intentionally made false representations (lied) to a circuit court judge

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Gary by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2015), Allen practices with the Marinette County District Attorneys Office at 1926 Hall Avenue in Marinette, Wisconsin.
