Attorney Michael Wells of Conway, SC; ethical misfit

The state of South Carolina presented Michael Hensley Wells with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from Western Michigan University Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Mike found it acceptable to having sex with a client in his office and at his home.

A woman hired Mike to represent her in a domestic case wherein she was seeking joint custody of her children, child support, alimony and possession of the marital home. The woman told Mike she wanted the divorce because he husband was a serial drunk.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the South Carolina Supreme Court punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2015), Mike practices with Coastal Law LLC at 1314 Second Avenue in Conway, South Carolina.
