Judge Michel Girouard of Quebec, CAN; druggie

The Law Society presented Michel Girouard with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Hamline University Law School.

The Judicial Inquiry Committee found Michel guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place shortly before he ascended to the bench.

In 2013, Chief Justice Francois Rolland of the Quebec Superior Court requested that a review of the conduct of Judge Girouard be undertaken.

The misconduct consisted of Girouard participating in a transaction to purchase an illicit substance from a police informant. In addition, Girouard faces five counts involving his alleged purchase and use of cocaine during his time as a lawyer.

All that remains to be seen now is what punishment if any will be meted out to Michel the Druggie by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Council.

As we speak (ca. August  2015), Girouard continues to sit as a Superior Court judge in Quebec, Canada.
