Judge Craig Jones of Rock Springs, WY; ethical troll

The State of Wyoming presented Craig L. Jones with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from the University of Wyoming School of Law.

It should be noted that Gov. Matt Mead was duped into appointing Craig as a Third Judicial District Circuit Judge in 2013. Craig didn’t get the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Rock Springs area. He got it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

In an October 2018 rating by the Wyoming Bar Association for Craig’s retention by the voters in the January 2019 election, the State Bar vote established that 58.6% of the respondents opposed Craig’s retention by the voters. In specific areas, the Bar members voted as follows.

  • Open-mindedness/impartiality: 45.5% strongly/somewhat  disapprove
  • Courteousness/politeness: 43% strongly/somewhat  disapprove

Hopefully the voters in the Rock Springs area are astute enough to not vote to retain someone that almost 60% of attorneys have determined is not qualified to be retained. Moreover, when nearly half of the lawyers that appear in Craig’s court believe he’s not open-minded or polite then he doesn’t deserve to be reelected to another term.

As we speak (ca. December 2018), Craig continues to sit as a Third Judicial District Circuit Judge in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
