Attorney Robert Samko of Chicago; Dumbo, slacker

The state of Illinois presented Robert Charles Samko with a law license in 1971 after he graduated from DePaul University Law School.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

• Neglected of a legal matter entrusted to him
• Engaged in conduct tending to defeat the administration of justice or to bring the courts or legal profession into disrepute
• Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 3-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Bobby.

As we speak (May 2017), Bobby practices with the Law Offices of Robert C. Samko at 33 North LaSalle Street in Chicago, Illinois.
