Today’s “Moron” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Kenny. In the past, he has been the recipient of eighteen (18) Awards in various categories and/or the subject of one (1) opinion piece. Those awards and opinion piece are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

During a recent (early July 2015), comedian Tony Perkins, President of the Un-Family Research Council decided to drum up more contributions by attacking the Supreme Court’s marriage equality ruling.

Tony told his fellow bigots and homophobes that due to the Court’s ruling, the United States will no longer receive God’s blessing. (Brian Tashman)

When a caller told Tony that he no longer likes to hear the phrase “God bless America” since the Court struck down bans on gay marriage, Tony responded by saying:

• “It’s hard for us to ask God to bless America when we have blatantly rejected what God has said a nation should do.”
• So every time I hear that, ‘God bless America,’ I’m thinking, America is not in a posture for God to bless it.”

Apparently in Tony’s demented mind, God blessed America while it enslaved African-Americans or when it placed Japanese Americans in encampments during World War II. Those were the good old days, right Tony Baby?

Tony went on to tell his low I.Q. listeners that the U.S. should assemble a Convention of the States to amend the Constitution as a result of the marriage equality ruling. Tony continued his moronic rant by saying:

• “I just don’t think you can make it any worse than what our courts have made the Constitution.”
• “They’re ignoring the Constitution.”
• “They act like the average American can’t even read the plain text of the Constitution. They act as if we’re idiots.”
• “They have completely obliterated the Constitution and its meaning, treating it as if it were Silly Putty.”

The only time that Tony and those of his ilk become upset with rulings emanating from the Supreme Court is when those decisions seem to outlaw discrimination based on race, gender and/or sexual orientation.

Congrats Tony; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Morons”; you are far too humble.
