Attorney John Piper of Paris, IL; tax cheat

The state of Illinois presented John Allen Piper with a law license in 1964 after he graduated from Indiana University Law School.

The Disciplinary Commission found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Johnny failed t timely file employer’s tax returns or remit withholding taxes that he deducted from his secretary’s paychecks over a five-year period of time.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. August 2015), Johnny practices with the Piper Law Offices at 308 North Central Avenue in Paris, Illinois.

Warning: Johnny does not carry legal malpractice insurance
