Attorney Russell Stewart of Park Ridge, IL; ethical misfit

The state of Illinois presented Russell James Stewart with a law license in 1979.

 after he graduated from Northern Illinois University Law School. 

The Disciplinary Commission found Russ guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Russ represented a woman in the preparation and filing of documents transferring her interest in her marital residence to her husband. 

When Russ later filed a bankruptcy petition on the client’s behalf, he failed to identify the real property as having been transferred by the client within the year preceding the filing of the petition.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Russ by gifting him with a stayed complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. August 2015), Russ practices at 805 West Touhy Avenue in Park Ridge, Illinois.
