Attorney James Pigott of Foley, AL; ethical gremlin

The state of Alabama presented James Russell Pigott a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Jones School of Law.

The Alabama State Bar Association found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failure to comply with repeated court orders led to removal as defense counsel in a criminal case he had been appointed to
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Made false statement of material fact to a tribunal
  • Repeatedly ignored court orders from the court of criminal appeals

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2015), Jimmy practices at 107 West Orange Avenue in Foley, Alabama.
