Attorney Jacob Dubin of Montgomery, AL; ethical misfit

The state of Alabama presented Jacob Ari Dubin with a law license in 2003 after he graduated from the Jones School of Law.

The Alabama State Bar Association found Jake guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Failed to continue representation when required to do so
• Failed to provide client with written fee agreement
• Failed to refund unearned fees for three months

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Jake by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2015), Jake practices in Montgomery, Alabama.
