Attorney Michael Coard of Philadelphia; serial offender

The state of Pennsylvania presented Michael Coard with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from the Dickinson School of Law at Penn State University.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to explain matter to extent necessary to permit client to make informed decisions regarding representation

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Mike’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received one (1) complimentary informal admonition and one (1) complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2015) Mike practices at 1650 Market Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Warning: Mike does not carry legal malpractice insurance
