Attorney Bernard Hammer of Winnetka, IL; ethical dwarf

The state of Illinois presented Bernard Hammer with a law license in 1964 after he graduated from John Marshall School of Law.

The Disciplinary Commission found Bernie guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter while he was representing the husband in a dissolution of marriage, recorded a judgment lien for his fees against the marital residence, after the parties agreed that the residence would be awarded to the wife, free of any encumbrances, and that each party would pay their own attorney fees.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Bernie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (November 2016), Bernie practices at 1455 Tower Road in Winnetka, Illinois.
