Attorney Jeffrey Spell of Charleston, SC; moron, repeat offender

The State of South Carolina presented Jeffrey T. Spell . with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from the University of South Carolina Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel of the South Carolina Supreme Court found Jeff guilty of the following misconduct.

Jeff’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to provide competent representation (Dufus)
• Failed to abide by client decisions concerning client objectives
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
• Assisted non-attorney in the illegal practice of law
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Violated or attempted to violate rules of conduct or knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of others

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the South Carolina Supreme punished Jeff by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Jeff’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to provide competent representation (Moron)
• Committed a criminal act
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the South Carolina Supreme punished Jeff by gifting him with a complimentary 12-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2015), Jeff practices at 1721 Ashley River Road in Charleston, South Carolina.
