Rep. Jody Hice (GA): Today’s “Rodney Dangerfield” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Rep. Jody Hice

Today’s “Rodney Dangerfield” Award Winner

In November 2014, Jody duped the voters in the rural areas of Augusta and Atlanta into electing him as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Prior to duping the voters, Jody was employed in the third most ethical profession in the country; the ministry (used car salesman No. 1, politics No. 2).

At the June 17, 2015 Future Conference, Jody sent in a video message where he blasted the “so-called separation of church and state,” which he labeled a “false belief.” (Brian Tashman)

Jody the Loon claimed that the separation of church and state had tricked Christians into ignoring their role in government. The Loon claim non-involvement by so-called Christians has led to a government that is more corrupt because it lacks input from “uprighteous, nice people who have moral compasses.” The comedian went on to say:

  • “There’s excuses like God is sovereign or we’re living in the Last Days and there is nothing we can do to change what’s happening, and listen, those things may be true, but those things never are a reason for us to not engage in what’s happening in our culture.”

I’m thinking that some of the following folks are the ones Jody was refering to as being “nice righteous people who have moral compasses.”

  • Former Speaker of the House Danny Hastert
  • Right Rev. Ted Haggard
  • Sen. David Vitter (LA)
  • Former Gov. Mark Sanford (SC)

If Jody and those of his ilk want the church intermingled with the government, then I’d suggest that they pack up their belongings and form their own country.

Congrats Jody; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Standup Comedians”; you are far too

Humble.
