Attorney John Liberti of Buffalo; convict, serial offender, convict

The state of New York presented John Philip Liberti with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from Cleveland Marshall University Law School in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Committee on Professional Standards found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Convicted of assault in the third degree
  • Failed to pay personal income taxes for a six-year period of time
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
  • Failed to promptly pay or deliver to client funds client had requested
  • Failed to maintain required records of bank accounts
  • Failed to maintain record for special accounts

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Johnny’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received two (2) complimentary censures and two (2) complimentary letters of caution for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Standards Committee punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. June 2015), Johnny practices in Buffalo, New York.
