Attorney Bruce Vealey of Warwick, RI; ethical dwarf

The state of Massachusetts provided Bruce E. Vealey with a law license in 1979.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Bruce guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to comply with opposing counsel’ discovery request in medical malpractice case
  • Failed to comply with court order regarding discovery
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Court dismissed client’s case due to failure to provide discovery
  • Failed to advise client of dismissal of client’s medical malpractice case
  • Failed to provide court-ordered discovery to hospital’s attorney
  • Voluntarily agreed to dismiss client’s medical malpractice case against hospital without the client’s knowledge or consent
  • Failed to properly communicate with client

As a consequence of his misconduct the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Rhode Island Supreme Court punished Bruce by gifting him with a complimentary order that he perform 45 hours of community service.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Rhode Island Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Bruce.

As we speak (ca. June 2015) Bruce practices at 200 Centerville Road in Warwick, Rhode Island.
