The state of Rhode Island provided Augustus Charos Jr. with a law license in 1983.

 

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Augustus guilty of the following misconduct in regards to his Second bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple, all of which took place while he was practicing in bankruptcy court.

 

Augustus’ 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to disclose arrest on application for bar license
     
  • Pled no contest to two counts of filing a false document

As a consequence of him misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Rhode Island Supreme Court punished Augustus by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

 

Augustus’ 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Filed inaccurate disclosure re: compensation received from client
  • Failed to disclose fee sharing agreement with another law firm
     
  • Failed to provide clients with various required notices under bankruptcy code
  • Failed to disclose existence of pending personal injury claim on client’s bankruptcy schedule
  • Submitted filings purporting to contain client's electronic signature that client did not sign

As a consequence of him misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Rhode Island Supreme Court punished Augustus by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
