Today’s “Screwball” Award Winner

In 2010, Shannon duped the voters in the Bakersfield, California area into electing her to the California State Assembly.

Despite the fact that she only attended High School, Shannon apparently believes she has the intellectually acumen to preach about the cause of the historic draught that has afflicted California over the past several years.

During a recent (early June 2015) speech at the California ProLife Legislative Banquet, Screwy Shannon put forth a theory for the state’s drought by claiming it may be divine retribution for California allowing women to have access to abortions. The Screwball said:

• “Texas was in a long period of drought until Governor Perry signed the fetal pain bill.”
• “It rained that night.”
• “Now God has his hold on California.”

Only a Certified Nutcase would even suggest that God waited until Gov. Perry signed the fetal pain bill before he would allow it to rain in Texas.

I’m sure that it will be a “rainy day in hell” before the California legislature passes such a loony bill and it will be a “deluge in hell” before Gov. Jerry Brown would even consider signing into law such lunacy.

Maybe Shannon should consider taking a job as a Standup Comedian. I hear tell that the Center for Improv Advancement Comedy Club on Chester Avenue in Bakersfield is always looking for new comedic talent.
