Attorney Jeffrey Cedarfield of West Hartford, CT; ethical troll

The state of Connecticut provided Jeffrey D. Cedarfield with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Jeff guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to return client phone calls
• Failed to keep client reasonably informed about the status of her bankruptcy matter
• Failed to timely file the attorney's disclosure of compensation document and thereby allowing the Complainant's bankruptcy case to be
• dismissed
• Failed to take any action to advance the client's case after the motion to vacate the dismissal was granted in April of2017, until June of 2018 when the meeting of creditors was scheduled
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Jeff!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Jeff by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.  

As we speak (ca. April 2019) Jeff practices with Cedarfield Law at 1769 Asylum Avenue in West Harford, Connecticut.
