Attorney Charles Joiner of West Monroe, LA; ethical gremlin

The state of Louisiana presented Charles R. Joiner with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from Loyola University Law School in New Orleans.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Charlie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff
  • Violated or attempted to violate rules of conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
  • Failed to safeguard client funds

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Charlie by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 30-day suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Charlie.

As we speak (ca. June 2015) Charlie practices at 1315 Cypress Street in West Monroe, Louisiana.
