Attorney Maynard Harrell Jr. of Plymouth, NC; serial offender

 

The state of North Carolina provided Maynard A. Harrell Jr. with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the University of Mississippi Law School.

 

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Maynard guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Maynard’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to accurately advise client about the status of administrative hearing
  • Failed to explain administrative proceedings to client so that he could make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to file appeal on client’s behalf
  • Failed to respond to inquires from ethics investigators (Up yours, said Maynard!)

As a consequence of his misconduct the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Maynard by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

Maynard’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to turn over client file to three clients
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigator (Up yours, said Maynard!)
  • Failed to communicate with client

As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Maynard by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

Maynard’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to timely deliver a client file
  • Failure to turn over file potentially prejudiced the client
    Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of his misconduct the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Maynard by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

As we speak (ca. June 2015) Maynard practices in Plymouth, North Carolina.
