Attorney Michael Gahan of Joliet, IL; ethical misfit

The state of Illinois presented Michael Gahan with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the University of Notre Dame Law School.

The Disciplinary Commission found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Mike He entered into a loan transaction with a client without advising the client of her right to seek the advice of independent counsel prior to entering into the transaction or disclosing to the client that his interests might conflict with the client’s interests.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2015), Mike practices with Kavanagh, Grumley & Gorbold LLC at 111 North Ottawa Street in Joliet, Illinois.
