State Rep. Cecil Bell (TX): Today’s “Screwball” Award Winner

In early 2015, Cecil the Screwball introduced legislation that would Texas to totally ignore federal law and federal court rulings and to also forgo enforcing any federal regulations.

Cecil’s “Texas Sovereignty Act” would allow for Texas to override federal law via the same process the state uses in passing a bill. Initially, a legislative committee, then the entire legislature would vote for nullification, which would then be signed by its so-called Governor.

Cecil went on to tell his fellow comrades and morons:

  • “This is an effort to establish how states can say, ‘No, you can’t do that in our state.”

Passage of this idiotic legislation would be immediately met with a court and/or several court’s ruling it to be unconstitutional on its face.

If Cecil and his screwy comrades and followers really want to ignore the U.S. Constitution and its laws, then they should schedule a statewide vote to secede from the Union.

In fact, to make sure the secession vote was fair and speedy, I’d suggest that the vote be limited to the voters in all of the so-called Blue State. I’m confident that these voters would be more than happy to tell Texas to go it alone. Such a result would guarantee that Blue State taxpayers would no longer have to pay to protect the Texas border with Mexico. Now Cecil and his minions could go ahead and fund the wall themselves.

That would be a sure-fired way to make “America Great Again,” Cecil!

And lastly, in truth Cecil and his bigoted cronies are telling the rest of us and the U.S. Constitution to “go screw yourself” and “stick it up your ass.”

Congrats Cecil; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Screwballs”; you are far too humble.
