Rep. Bill Flores (R-TX): Today’s “Lunatic” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Rep. Bill Flores (R-TX)

Today’s “Lunatic” Award Winner

In a recent (04/29/15) appearance on Washington Watch, Family Research Council President and resident comedian Tony Perkins hosted Rep. Flores to speak about marriage equality at a rally of like-minded bigots outside the Supreme Court that Billy and Tony had attended that morning.  (Brian Tashman)

While being interviewed by Tony, Florez laughingly opined that same-sex marriage would lead to a breakdown of the family model and increase the number of single-parent households.

Loony Bill went on to claim

  • Same-sex marriages would contribute to the conditions that led to the Baltimore riots
  • 80% of Americans oppose Supreme Court decision legalizing same-sex marriage

Billy’s claim that the riots in Baltimore were caused by same-sex marriages is proof positive that he’s a Bigoted Lunatic and Certified Homophobe. Billy also lied by claiming 80% of Americans oppose a Supreme Court decision regarding same-sex marriage when the true number is 50%.

Moreover, to suggest that marriage equality would lead to a breakdown of the family model doesn’t pass the involuntary laugh test. Fifty percent or more of so-called traditional marriages end up in divorce. Therefore, heterosexuals have done a bang up job in breaking down the family model on their own and they did it without the assistance of the gay community.

One must seriously wonder why Billy expends so much energy in attacking members of the gay community. Maybe we need to ask Billy the following question:

“What’s in your closet, Billy?”

Congrats Billy; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Lunatics”; you are far too humble.
