Rev. Pat Robertson says, God can Straighten out Gay Daughter  

During a recent (April 2015) airing of the 700 Club Comedy Hour Rev. Pat Robertson advised a viewer on how she could convince her daughter who recently introduced her to her girlfriend, to “give up the LGBT lifestyle” by telling her “pray that God will straighten her out.” Because “it may be a phase she’s going through.” Rev. Pat went on to say:

• “A little teenage girl doesn’t know what dress she’s supposed to wear much less what kind of sex she’s supposed to be.”

Pat then lamented the purported “pressure to be gay” by saying:(Brian Tashman)

• “There’s so much lesbian stuff, I mean, lesbian this, lesbian the other, so much homosexual — the media is pushing this as hard as they can possibly push it.”
• “I don’t know what to do, maybe get her in a camp, a Christian camp in the summer where they are really on fire for the Lord and maybe she will straighten things out.”

Of course it’s a well documented fact that attending a so-called Christian camp will have no impact on straightening out someone who is gay. If attending such a camp could do what Screwy Pat says it can, then it should also be able to change congenital liars like Patty into incurable truth-tellers.
