Attorney Evan Smith of Arcadia, CA; serial offender  

 

The state of California provided Evan Llewellyn Smith with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from Loyola University Law School in Los Angeles.

 

The California State Bar found Evan guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Evan’s 1stbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree  

  • Failed to deposit client funds in trust account
  • Failed to maintain proper account records

As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Evan by gifting him with a complimentary reproval.

 

Evan’s 2ndbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree  

  • Failed to comply with conditions of prior reproval
  • Filed five quarterly reports late

As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Evan by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 30-day suspension of his law license.

 

In truth, the comedians sitting on the California State Bar Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Evan.

Evan’s 3rdbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree  

 

  • Failed to comply with prior probation conditions
  • Failed to file four quarterly probation reports from CPA on time
  • Failed to provide competent legal services (Dufus)
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Evan!)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Evan by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

 

For the second time, the comedians sitting on the California State Bar Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Evan.

 

Evan’s 4thbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree  

  • Filed seven probation reports late
  • Three of his probation reports were defective
  • Failed to provide new address after he moved
  • Provided proof of completion of MCLE courses after the deadline to do so

As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Evan by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. May 2015) Evan practices at 150 North Santa Anita Avenue in Arcadia, California.
