Attorney Cynthia Brassington of Lynwood, NJ; ambulance chaser

The state of New Jersey presented Cynthia Ann Brassington with a law license in 1993 after she graduated from Rutgers University Law School.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Cynthia guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Cynthia and several of her associates that were then employed by and/or associated with a Cherry Hill law firm known as Tomar O'Brien Kaplan Jacoby and Graziano allowed its non-attorney employees -- such as secretaries and paralegal assistants -- to receive bonuses for referring cases to the firm.

This is affectionately referred to as Ambulance Chasing 101. The problem for Cynthia is that said conduct was prohibited the Rules of Professional conduct, a fact well known to her at the time she cheerfully engaged in said conduct.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Cynthia by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. May 2015), Cynthia continues to practice in Lynwood, New Jersey.
