Attorney Kevin Stewart of Oakland, CA; convicted wife beater

The state of California provided Kevin John Stewart with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from Loyola University Law School in Los Angeles.

The California Bar Court found Kevin guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Kevin was convicted of violating penal code sections 236 & 237, misdemeanor false imprisonment.

The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s office responded to a report of domestic battery by respondent against his then wife. The wife reported that Kevin woke her by shaking her. She further reported that he yelled at her, grabbed both her arms, shook her and then hit her in the face with his fist at least two times.

The wife could not recall which hand Kevin used to hit her, nor what he did immediately after hitting her. The responding officers observed a deep cut on wife’s upper lip that was bleeding, a swollen lower lip, red marks around her eyes and bruises on her arms.

Subsequently, Kevin the Abuser was sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to attend 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling. An unreliable source indicated that Kevin opted to attend the Mel Gibson Institute for Spousal Abusers located in Beverly Hills, California.

As a consequence of his misconduct the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Court punished Kevin by gifting him with a complimentary reproval.

As we speak (ca. May 2016), Kevin practices with the Law Office of Kevin J. Stewart at 4100 Redwood Road in Oakland, California.
