Rafael Cruz Today’s “Lunatic” Award Winner This isn’t the first Award presented to Rafael. In the past, he has been the recipient of six (6) Awards. Those awards are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.
During a recent (April 2015) interview with comedy radio host and comedian Steve Deace, Rafael decided to repeat his false claim that Supreme Court rulings that limit government-sponsored prayer in schools has led to spikes in violate crime and teen pregnancy.
Rafael then false stated that up until recent (2012) rulings by the Supreme Court, the “Bible was the principal textbook in all schools all the way to universities.
I can personally testify that this is a bald-faced lie. When I attended catholic schools in Toledo, Ohio from 1952 to 1964, I can assure you that the Bible was not the “principal textbook” at Holy Rosary Cathedral grade school, St. Clements grade school or St. Francis De Sales High School.
I’m sure that former Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista (ca. 1952 to 1959), which was the time period Rafael would have attended school, allowed for the Bible to be the “principle textbook” in Cuban schools.
As is the case with his loony son Sen. Ted Cruz, it’s quite obvious that the chickey toe banana doesn’t fall far from the tree.
