Attorney Richard Ohlsen of Brainerd, MN; ethical gremlin

The state of Minnesota presented Dean Milton Margolis with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of North Dakota Law School.

The Minnesota Office of Lawyer Regulation found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Abandoned client matter
  • Failed to respond to client communications
  • Failed to inform client about court-ordered sanctions
  • Failed to comply with discovery requests
  • Failure to comply with discovery requests resulted in dismissal of client’s case with prejudice (means he could never pursue the matter again)
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2015), Dick practices at 417 Laurel Street in Brainerd, Minnesota.
