Attorney Vannie Williams Jr. of Columbia, SC; moron, repeat offender 

 

The State of South Carolina presented Vannie Williams Jr. with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from the University of South Carolina Law School.

 

Disciplinary Counsel of the South Carolina Supreme Court found Vannie guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Vannie’s 1stbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonest or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct demonstrating unfitness to practice law
  • Failed to explain matter to extent necessary to permit client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Thornton!)
    Failed to provide competent representation (Moron)
  • Failed to abide by client’s decisions concerning objectives of representation
  • Engaged in conduct tending to pollute the administration of justice

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the South Carolina Supreme punished Vannie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

  • Made false statements to ethics investigators (Up yours, said Vannie!)
  • Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to promptly deliver to client or third person funds they were lawfully entitled to receive
  • Failed to render full accounting to client or third person
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonest or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct demonstrating unfitness to practice law
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonest or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the South Carolina Supreme punished Vannie by gifting him with a complimentary 5-year suspension of his law license.

 

As we speak (ca. May 2015), Vannie practices with The Law Office of Vannie Williams Jr. LLC at 1719 Taylor Street in Columbia, South Carolina.
