Attorney Steven Bishop of San Diego; ethical leprechaun

The state of California presented Steven Mark Bishop with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the University of San Diego Law School.

The California State Bar found Stevie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Improperly withdrew funds when he knew client disputed his claim to fees
  • Failed to deposit disputed funds in client trust account
  • Did not return disputed fees $5,579 to client until after client filed ethics complaint

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California State Bar Court punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary one-year term of probation.

As we speak (ca. April 2015), Stevie practices at 591 Camino De La Reina in San Diego, California.
