Attorney Gregory Esau of Seattle; repeat offender 

 

The state of Washington presented Clinton Matthew Coons with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Santa Clara University Law School.

 

The Washington State Bar found Greg guilty of the following misconduct.

Greg’s 1stbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

  • Failed to deposit advance fees in trust account
  • Failed to provide clients with accounting when requested
  • Failed to timely refund unearned advance fees upon discharge (cheater)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington State Supreme Court punished Greg by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Greg’s 2ndbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

  • Failed to deal properly with client’s advance fee deposit
  • Failed to deposit client funds in required trust account
  • Failed to respond to client’s letter requesting refund of $1,700 advance fee
  • Client forced to obtain court judgment for in King County District Court for failure to refund $1,700 advance fee
  • Failed to provide client with requested accounting

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Washington State Supreme Court punished Greg by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

As we speak (ca. May 2015), Greg practices with Ellis Li & McKinstry PLLC at 2025 First Avenue in Seattle, Washington.
