Today’s “Bigot” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Rafael. In the past, he has been the recipient of five (5) Awards. Those awards are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

Rafael Cruz is the screwy father of Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas. This father and son team of lunatics gives credence to the old adage that the “avocado doesn’t fall far from the tree.”

During a recent (03/29/15) appearance on the Earle Forum Live Comedy Show with chief comedian Phyllis Schlafly, Rafael called on state governments to follow the illegal conduct of Alabama’s Chief Justice Roy Moore in thumbing their noses at federal court decisions striking down bans on same-sex marriage. Towards that end, Rafael told Schlafly’s low I.Q. listeners:

• “Something very exciting that has happened is what happened in Alabama with Justice Roy Moore.”
• “The courts of Alabama do not have to obey the opinion of a federal judge.”
• “Judge Moore the civil courts in Alabama not to issue marriage licenses for homosexual couples.”
• “So what they are doing is asserting that the state has supremacy and basically all of these laws were for the state to make those decisions, not the federal court, the federal court is overreaching and it is actually legislating from the bench, contrary to the opinion of the majority of the American people.”

It’s clear that Rafael is just as ignorant as his bigoted son Ted in regards to the undisputed fact that when federal courts rule on federal rights, state courts are required to follow suit. Put simply, state courts cannot pick and choose which U.S. Supreme Court decisions they will abide by. If this were true, then Alabama could go back to forcing African-Americans to ride in the back of the bus.

Rafael likes to brag that he was tortured in Cuba under Castro’s rule. He doesn’t describe the torture, but one must wonder if it could be the cause of his unrelenting homophobia. With that said, maybe we need to ask Rafael the following:

“What’s in your closet, Rafael?”

Congrats Rafael; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Bigots”; you are far too humble.
