Attorney Eric Johnson II of Atlanta; ethical dwarf

The state of Georgia presented Eric R. Johnson II with a law license in 2003 after he graduated from Emory University Law School.

The Georgia State Bar found Eric guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Eric was working as an assistant public defender in DeKalb County, but represented two clients in separate criminal matters in DeKalb Recorders Court and accepted payments from both.

Eric failed to inform either client that she might be eligible for a court-appointed public defender or inform the judges hearing the matter that he was appearing in a private capacity rather than as public defender.

Eric also failed to inform his superiors of the representations, and was terminated from his employment because of the representations.

In another matter, Eric took no remedial actions in reporting the false testimony of his client to the court and/or any other affected party.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Georgia Supreme Court punished Eric by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and a 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. Jerry 2015), Eric practices with The Johnson Law Offices LLC in Atlanta, Georgia.
