Attorney Chadwick Stallings of Centre, AL; ethical gremlin

The state of Alabama presented Chadwick Loring Stallings with a law license after he graduated from the Birmingham School of Law.

The Alabama State Bar Association found Chadwick guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to abide by client decisions regarding representation
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to appear at court hearing on client’s behalf
  • Failed to file answer to lawsuit on client’s behalf
  • Failure to file answer to lawsuit led to default judgment being entered against client
  • Failed to explain matter to extent necessary for client to make informed decisions regarding representation
  • Violated or attempted to violate rules of conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Chadwick by gifting him with a complimentary 91-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2015), Chadwick practices at 306 Cherokee Avenue West in Centre, Alabama.
